 Edit Assistant / Archivist / Media Manager - Full Time at TVT
 July 2005 - September 2010 (5 years 3 months)

 • Edit Assistant/Media Manager/Archivist, I would support all departments digitising, exporting, tape layback/dubbing,  media management, archiving/restoring while updating databases and reports working to TX schedules

 • My Edit Assistant responsibilities where to ensure that all media was correct and ready to edit or audio dub. I would  also perform basic editing which included clocking, basic compliance edit’s

 • My Archivist responsibilities where to ensure the safe archiving/restoration/storage of files, using TSM backing up to    LTO4, working from a command line perspective

 • My Media Management responsibilities where to digitise media from various tape formats to a digital file, QC them &  transcode them to different file formats. Supporting various departments I would answer all file related questions,  covering frame-rate, bitrate, audio-compression, standards conversions, export’s, laybacks, file deliveries via FTP &  drive transfers

 • In 2007 I became Head Librarian, now a multi-location library based within BBC Television Centre, I would oversee  the day-to-day operations of the library, with the help of my team librarians dealing with all tape related queries

 • I started there in 2005 as their Librarian, working in a linear environment which dubbed tapes for TX


 Post Production Runner at The Farm
 May 2004 - May 2005 (1 year 1 month)

 Like so many, I started as a Post-Production runner in Soho. Working with producers, editors, sound engineers and  colourist at both Linear and non-linear facilities. While there, I gained a great understanding of the production process.  It was in CTA where I learnt to dub/ingest a tape to broadcasting standards.
